DIY Halloween Costumes for Your Kids

Halloween is coming up soon and that means… costumes! Halloween costumes can be super expensive and making your own Halloween costumes for your kids can be very time-consuming and a lot of hard work. Along the Way wants to help with this stress by giving you 4 ideas for easy DIY Halloween costumes that you can make for your kids! This could also be a fun time to play arts and crafts with your kids!

  • Lego costume

    • Get a cardboard box and spray paint it whatever your child’s favorite color is (may need to do multiple coats) 

    • Cut out arms, legs, and head holes

    • Add circles to make it look like a Lego

  •  Rain Cloud 

    • Get an umbrella and remove the fabric

    • Grab a lot of cotton balls and hot glue them to the umbrella to create a cloud

    • Put them in a rain jacket and rain boots 

  • Stick figure 

    • Get an all-white outfit 

    • Use electrical tape to make a stick figure outline on clothes 

    • Get a paper plate and make a smiley face and cut out the eyes and mouth

    • Attach string to the paper mask to wear

  • Pirate 

    • Put on a bandana, striped shirt, and black baggy pants 

    • Draw an eye patch on their eye and a beard with some of your eyeliner

There are so many creative options for Halloween costume ideas on the Internet that are affordable and easy to make so that you are not stressed during this season!
