Pathway Program
The Pathway Project is a collaboration between selected employers in Montgomery County, PA and Along The Way. The employers we work with have demonstrated a commitment to workplace excellence, including investing in their workforce through professional development opportunities, providing good benefits, and are innovators in responding to their employees’ needs. Through this collaboration, income-qualifying single mothers who already work at our employer partner sites or who Along The Way refers to employment at their sites are eligible for Pathway Project participation.
Eligibility Criteria
Single headed household; sizes 2-4
Residence: Montgomery County, Bucks County, Philadelphia County
Income is at or below the 350% FPL
Stable housing
Reliable Transportation: Car, License, Plan in Place
Unemployed or Underemployed
Children are ages 0-16

Program Benefits
Four phase program to help a participant gain the stability, skills and support needed to thrive in long-term employment.
Stabilization Phase: Case management service addresses basic needs and connects the participant to community resources
Workforce Development Phase: Case management services connects the participant to partnering career counseling, training, and skill development resources
Employment Matching Phase: Case management services connects the participant to Along The Way employer partners
Child Care + Support Phase: In-home child care and access to long-term case management services

Child Care To Work
The Child Care to Work program provides essential support for mothers of Montgomery County. The initiative addresses care gaps by connecting families with trained caregivers who deliver personalized care in a familiar environment, their home. Funded through Along The Way’s ARPA grant and local sponsorships, the program ensures that eligible families can access reliable child care while easing the financial burden on parents to maintain employment.
